I'm still considering this coil, although I would lean towards the shorter one because of total height on my pickup.The wolf river coils set with the 17' whip is a true 1/4wave 20 meter vertical that is portable. Bring a bunch of ground wires to lay down and you'll be very happy. It operates on 40/80 when tuned by the could far better then a smaller antenna. Wolf River did replace it under warranty. Their customer service is excellent.
